The new limited edition Matrix 380 Mad Max from Excalibur is designed for rugged open country terrain where natural cover is limited. Excalibur plans to make only 1,000 Mad Max crossbows, so hardcore hunters who wish to have a truly unique limited availability pattern in their repertoire must act fast.

The sleek new Mad Max comes fully decked out in Realtree Max-1, and has the same features as other Excalibur Matrix models including the famous compact recurve technology. Like the original Excalibur Matrix 380 Xtra, crossbow hunting’s first compact recurve crossbow, the mad max delivers arrow speeds at a sizzling 380 fps, and 112.3 pounds of kinetic energy. Extremely accurate, quiet, well-balanced, easy to cock and impossible to dry-fire, this crossbow’s lightweight ergo grip stock features a thumbhole, a pistol grip, finger guards on the fore end, and warm, soft, non-slip rubber grip inserts. The Mad Max features a quad-loc riser design to contain each limb on four sides for increased consistency and accuracy.

• Integrated, R.E.D.S. (Recoil Energy Dissipation System) string suppressors to reduce vibration, noise and shock for quieter, more comfortable shooting.
• Its super-premium Matrix String is made of BCY Dynaflight 97, which reduces creep and increases speed.
• Self-contained Guardian Anti-Dry-Fire System, which is housed in the scope mount and catches the crossbow string to prevent firing if it’s triggered without an arrow in place. A built-in release allows easy uncocking so you don’t have to fire an arrow to end the hunt.
